I’ve been a professional playwright, novelist, screenwriter and educator since -th new play, 180 Degree Chord, concluded the first stage of its UK tour in November 2022 and received great critical acclaim from audiences; “One of the best plays I have ever seen.” The play tours again in late 2023 concluding with a 4-week run at a prestigious theatre in London in 2024. My past plays and novels have all received great reviews.

I bring this unique experience gained in the arts to help a wide variety of students from GGSE ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels though to mature students and those looking to venture into a career in theatre and film.

Through my Dramatic Insight programme, I use my experiences gained through theatre to bring a “zing” back to English subjects using my own work and privileged “insights” I’ve acquired as a writer, director and producer in this fascinating world. It’s particularly aimed at students who have, for one reason or another, disengaged with English Literature and Language in a formal setting and who are struggling to find its relevance or value. I bring the subjects to life and help reengage students so they can feel the magic of creativity themselves and can continue and succeed in their education.

Being a published author, I can help with all aspects of planning, writing, publishing and promoting a novel or short story from original concept through to finding an agent and self-publishing. This will suit anyone who feels the need to write, or any student needing or wanting a deeper look into the many processes involved.

Similarly, I can help with virtually any aspect of theatre from creating the work through to production, directing, casting, working with theatres, lighting and sound design – literally any aspect including running the shows live from the tech box. This will suit any age and help those who feel the need to be creative, or want to expand their skills in any area of this creative or operational environment. In addition, I also write screenplays and can help with all aspects of this. Again, this will suit any age.

I have home-schooled my two sons since March 2017.

I offer both online and home visits for tutoring after school (5pm onwards) and at weekends. I have clear enhanced DBS check. I am also an enterprise and business coach. I’m based in Chester (UK) but offer a world-wide online service.
