Good day! My name is Mariia.
I’m a tutor for GCSE-level maths and sciences, and I’ve helped many students (on MyTutor and in school) do the best they possibly can — which usually turns out to be much better than they thought they were capable of.
I’m a fresh graduate from Durham University with a degree in Computer Science, and I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree.
My approach to tutoring is very simple: full understanding first. That’s how I learn too. Once you truly understand a concept, remembering it takes almost no effort — and it’s incredibly satisfying when things finally click.
Lessons are always structured around the topics the student needs the most help with. I provide practice questions, guide students step-by-step, and help them think in the right direction rather than just giving answers. The goal is to build confidence and experience to the point where my help isn’t even needed anymore.
I genuinely care about my students and their wellbeing, and I’m very invested in seeing them grow — not just academically, but in confidence too.

Lessons are typically an hour and are aimed at GCSE & A-Level students. We'll work together to get you exam-ready and build skills that last a lifetime.
