I am a native English speaker with a passion for sharing my love of my mother tongue

This is my 14th year of teaching. A skilled practitioner, since gaining QTS in 2009 I have taught from Early Years to Year 4 although while completing a TEFL module at university and CELTA certificate, I also had the opportunity to teach adults.

Most of the students I have taught have had English as an additional language or other learning differences. This has given me the opportunity to work either on a one to one basis or with small groups adapting the learning to their needs while maintaining links to the curriculum. In order to achieve success, I get to know the students as individuals and as learners.

As a teacher, my objective is to provide a secure, stimulating and fun environment where students can practise and build up their knowledge, practise their skills, and be empowered by their progress. While this is ordinarily done face-to-face, during the Covid lockdown, in line with the school/ country policy, I adapted to and facilitated an online learning programme for two years.

What makes me suitable for this job, is that over the years, I have had the opportunity to live and work in a number of countries globally. Adapting to new environments has broadened my horizons and taught me to respect, work and live with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

My personal experiences have been invaluable to my role as a teacher. I am a friendly, caring person who enjoys life and has a wealth of life experience. The qualities that I bring are commitment, enthusiasm, maturity, excellent organisational and communication skills, flexibility, a sense of humour and adventure.

I am returning to the UK, and will be available for the academic year-As a teacher, I am interested in growing and developing my career through new experiences.
