I tailor my lessons around the needs of the student. This means focusing on what they find most challenging. The goal is to help them spot patterns in not just subject content but in past papers. Examiners are often looking for very similar things each year and phrase questions in virtually the same way each year. Once students can spot these patterns they are better placed to apply their subject knowledge. For me, it's all about how the examiners want you to answer the questions and meeting these demands.
