I am a patient and enthusiastic Mathematics tutor with over two years of experience and more than 500 hours of one-to-one teaching. As a first-year Mathematics student at Cardiff University, I support primary, KS3 and GCSE pupils, including those following AQA and Edexcel specifications. I have also worked with learners with SEND and EHCPs, adapting explanations, pacing and resources to suit individual needs. My lessons begin by identifying what a pupil already understands and where misconceptions have developed. I then explain ideas step by step, using clear examples and guided practice before moving towards independent questions. I encourage pupils to explain their reasoning, which helps build confidence as well as mathematical fluency. Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s goals, whether that is strengthening foundations, preparing for exams, or extending high-attaining students. I aim to make Maths approachable, structured and rewarding.
