Adam Martens

I'm Adam, a recent sixth form graduate currently on a gap year before I reapply to MIT. I've just graduated with A*s in Maths, Computer Science, and Digital Technology, as well as As in WBQ and Physics, so I have an in-depth, well-rounded and fresh understanding of the curriculum and its exams.

I tutor Maths, Physics, Computer Science and Digital Technology at GCSE and A Level, as well as Digital SAT preparation. I scored 1520 on the SAT (top 1% globally) and have coached & tutored students online across the UK, the Middle East and the US. Outside of tutoring, I have built full-stack web applications, database-driven booking systems and have real world experience working with commercial automation and AI consultation, so I have firsthand knowledge of what kind of person you need to be and the qualifications you should strive for to make it in the modern STEM world.

Each lesson will be one to one and tailored to you. We begin with the areas you're losing the most marks, then work through a short explanation, a worked example and targeted practice. When an answer is incorrect, I'll ask you to talk me through your reasoning so we can identify exactly where it went wrong. I find that students retain this far better than being handed the correct answer, and it builds the independence needed for exams.

My approach is patient, structured and focused on progress. Students are welcome to ask any question, and we can move at whatever pace suits you, including revisiting fundamentals where needed.
