Karen Naito

I am native Japanese with 7 years teaching experience. My students pass exam. I have certifications and experience ranging from secondary school students to working professionals. I also have a professional background in Tokyo across operations and digital media roles, so I bring real workplace context into my lessons, not just textbook Japanese.

I’ve also volunteered teaching Japanese language and history to children, alongside my paid tutoring work.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s JLPT preparation, Japanese high school entrance exam prep, business Japanese, or everyday conversation. For professionals, I also offer proofreading and correction of business documents, including keigo (formal Japanese).

I focus on practical, natural Japanese and clear communication, grounded in real workplace and cultural context.
