Maths and Science Tutor, teaching students secondary level and above

Hi! I'm Ben, a Chemistry graduate from the University of Bristol, offering friendly, patient and practical tutoring in Maths and Science. I have previous tutoring experience in Vancouver, Canada, where I worked with students online in Maths and Science, and I take great pride in helping my two little brothers ace their GCSEs!

I believe that learning is much more effective when a student is genuinely engaged with what they're studying. For me, enjoying a subject is just as important as understanding it. I love helping students get to grips with the material, but showing them the depth, creativity and real-world applications behind Maths and Science is most rewarding.

I want my lessons to be something students look forward to, rather than something they simply have to get through. My aim is to make difficult topics feel approachable, build confidence and leave students with a stronger understanding of not just what they're learning, but why it matters.

Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit the individual. Whether a student needs to build their confidence, work through a difficult topic, prepare for an exam or push themselves towards the highest grades, I'll work patiently with them to find an approach that works.

Ultimately, I want my students to leave a lesson feeling like they've genuinely learned something — and hopefully a little more excited about the subject than when they started.
