My tutoring sessions are interactive, student-centred, and designed to make science approachable, engaging, and easy to understand. Having studied in the UK and completed a Biology degree at the University of Hertfordshire, I have a strong academic background in Biology and a good understanding of the UK education system and exam-based learning.

I offer support in Biology, GCSE Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), and GCSE Maths, adapting each lesson to the individual student’s level, goals, and learning style.

The initial session begins with an assessment that we work through together to identify the student’s strengths, areas for improvement, and any topics they are currently finding challenging. From there, I can create a tailored plan to help them build their understanding and confidence. If they already know which topics they need help with, we can focus directly on those areas.

I introduce new concepts through clear, straightforward explanations and often use visual aids such as diagrams, illustrations, and animations to make more complex ideas easier to understand. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and use real-life examples to help them understand how scientific concepts apply beyond the classroom.

I also incorporate active learning strategies, including exam-style questions, problem-solving exercises, quizzes, and discussions. This helps students not only understand the material but also develop the skills and confidence they need for assessments and exams.

My experience as a teaching assistant has helped me develop the ability to explain difficult concepts clearly, be patient with students, and adapt my teaching approach depending on how each student learns best.
