I'm Julian, a qualified astronomer who somehow ended up writing video games for a living. I've taught students maths at GCSE and A-Level standard, including some who started off not believing themselves and ending up with grades beyond their predicted level. I've been using maths throughout my career, and though I'm retired now, I still have an urge to help those in need of a lift.

Expect: multiple ways of explaining difficult concepts until we hit one that works for you; patience and persistence; silly humour at times (because this can be fun, right?!); strategic thinking beyond the maths. When you study with me, we're in this together.
