I am a native Chinese speaker with a degree in English Language

I studied English at university and have worked in both China and the UK. I enjoy sharing my language learning insights and would love to have thoughtful and nuanced discussions on cultural interests. I am interested in the core values, social norms, and behavioural characteristics behind both cultures, and I can clearly recognise how cultural differences are reflected in people’s daily manners, communication styles, and way of conducting themselves. I enjoy going beyond literal translation to explore the subtle meanings, cultural connotations, and contextual nuances of words, phrases and idiomatic expressions with my students.
