Law: I am trained at the English Bar and am currently completing an MPhil at the University of Cambridge, attempting to understand the meaning of "conscionability" in proprietary estoppel. I can provide undergraduate-level tutorials in property and public law. Having scored 33 out of 42 in the LNAT (2022, 6 points higher than the top 25% of successful applicants for Oxford BA in Jurisprudence), I am also able to provide guidance on the LNAT and other law-related secondary school modules.
Chinese and English as a Second Language (C/ESL): I am bilingual in Mandarin Chinese, which enables me to tutor those who wish to improve their Chinese pronunciation and expand their vocabulary. I can also provide ESL tutorials at any level for Chinese speakers. I have previous experience with tutoring in CSL and ESL.
Content:
From my experience as a student, I have always found that interactive discussions are much more effective than lectures. Therefore, my tutorials will be structured similarly to an Oxbridge-style supervision/tutorial. This means I will provide you with a task before class, whether it is a paragraph to read or a short essay to write, and we will discuss it during our tutorials. I believe you have the ability to excel academically/linguistically, and I am here to help you achieve your potential through engaged discussion.
Format:
I can provide tutorials online or in person (in my college flat in one of the colleges at the University of Cambridge). I can also provide in-person tutorials at your preferred location within 50 miles of Cambridge (travel costs payable).
