Offering 1-1 GCSE & A-Level English Literature/Language specialised tutoring courses

I am a second-year student studying BA English at University of Bristol. My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-Level English students who are capable of more but don’t understand where they have lost marks and how they can improve. English specifications can be vague and the absence of a strict mark scheme leaves lots of room for misunderstanding. My lessons will break down these seemingly confusing outlines and elevate my student’s ability to analyse and articulate in a way that pushes their English grades to the very highest achievable.

I began tutoring five years ago when I was myself a GCSE student. I first tutored my fellow GCSE peers in both English Literature and Language, helping one student rise from an English Language grade 2 to a 6 in the span of 3 months. Later, during my A-Levels, I expanded my tutoring to GCSE English, Maths and Biology alongside SAT Maths and English. I specialise in crafting individualised lesson plans tailored to the needs of my students – whether that is in reinforcing and elevating their foundational work or expanding their limits to higher level work.
