English Tutor (GCSE and KS2)

I am offering KS2 and GCSE level English tutoring!

For KS2, we would follow the mainstream curriculum with the aim to reaffirm understanding of what the student is learning in school.

For these younger students, the focus would be on reading comprehension both of books/passages as well as exam-style questions, and of writing skills (spelling, answering questions, and creative writing).

For GCSE students, the lessons are tailored toward which English exam(s) the student is taking. For English literature, the focus would be centred around discussing the reading material required by the exam board. Expect engaging debates and character analysis to prepare you for the upcoming exams! These lessons will aim to build comprehension, opinions, and memory of the material.

English language will be centred more toward 'ad hoc' reading comprehension, method, and creative writing, as seen in the exam. For students wishing to focus on this GCSE, exam questions, analysis and writing style will be centred.
