Academic Coach & Mentor for FE and HE Students | Psychology-Trained | Study Skills | Brighton & Online
Advert description
Academic coaching is about more than covering content; it is about helping you understand how you learn, build the skills to manage your studies independently, and develop the confidence to reach your potential. My sessions are structured around your individual goals, whether that is improving your essay writing, developing more effective revision strategies, managing deadlines and workload, or simply finding a consistent, focused space to make progress. I use evidence-based approaches drawn from educational psychology, including goal-setting frameworks, metacognitive strategies, spaced practice, and self-regulated learning techniques, to help students work smarter, not just harder. Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes and are available online via Zoom/Google Meet or in person in Brighton and the surrounding Sussex area. I work with FE and HE students at all stages, whether you are just starting out, preparing for assessments, or trying to get back on track after a difficult period. No two students are the same, and no session follows a rigid script. Everything is tailored to where you are right now and where you want to be.
