I am a bilingual English/Italian speaker with 27 years experience in teaching English Language and Literature in English schools.
I have taught all examining boards and been an examiner for AQA GCSE language and AQA A level literature.
I have been KS5 Lead and developed hundreds of units of work and resources.
I worked for the GUTP (Grand Union Training Partnership) as a mentor for trainee teachers and coached NQTs (Newly Qualified Teachers).
I completed the Outstanding Teacher Programme Plus.
I completed the Cambridge University mental health course (5 weeks).

I have chosen early retirement, but I miss seeing pupils learn and thrive.
I have learnt to make my lessons interactive and engaging, putting students' needs at the centre of my planning.
My method is adaptive and focused on measurable outcomes.

Patrizia taught my daughter for a few months before her GCSE English. My daughter was only expected to achieve a 4 at the start of the year, but over about a dozen sessions with Patrizia she became more confident and de a much more positive attitude towards English. Patrizia is clearly very experienced and conscientious, and has an infections enthusiasm about her subject which seems to inspire her students. My daughter got a 7 in the summer, which she was delighted with. I could not recommend Patrizia more to anyone who needs help with GCSE or A level - and my daughter is most definitely a member of her fan club!

Patrizia greatly helped my daughter, Jade, with her GCSE English texts. She had been finding Shakespeare very challenging and dull, and Patrizia managed not only to discuss and explain the text in such a way that she understood everything, but even managed to pass on some of her obvious enthusiasm for the subject, to the extent that Jade no longer 'hates Shakespeare'. Patrizia is a very patient and personable teacher who really knows her stuff, and I would gladly recommend her as a first-rate English tutor.
