Mathematics has always been a passion of mine, both in my personal studies and through my university education. I understand first-hand how challenging it can be, frustration and confusion are natural when first approaching complex concepts. But like learning an instrument, once the fundamentals click, math transforms from daunting to deeply rewarding. The key difference between math and other subjects is that it can’t simply be memorised. True mastery comes from understanding core principles, which then unlocks the ability to solve any variation of problems, not just the ones you’ve seen before. My teaching method is built for that breakthrough. I start by ensuring a rock-solid grasp of foundational concepts before progressing too problem-solving. We’ll work through a wide range of questions with practice problems I provide to the student, tailoring each session to their needs. Homework will reinforce lessons, and we’ll revisit any sticking points until confidence replaces doubt. Beyond solving equations, I equip students with essential skills: structured notetaking, efficient revision strategies, and problem-solving frameworks. My goal isn’t just better grades—it’s fostering independence, so they can tackle future challenges without relying on a tutor. For parents, my promise is clarity and results.
