GCSE Science Tutor | School-Based | Online Lessons (Exam Technique Focus)

Hi, I’m Nicola 😊

I am a Science Specialist with experience working in a secondary school as both a Science Teacher and current Science Technician. I have also supported students as a tutor, helping them improve their understanding and confidence in GCSE Science.

Because I work in a school environment, I see first-hand how students are taught and assessed, and I understand the common areas where they struggle—particularly when it comes to exam technique.

I offer online tutoring for GCSE Combined Science and Triple Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), with a structured and supportive approach focused on helping students gain marks and build confidence.

My lessons are delivered online and are tailored to each student’s needs.

A typical session includes:
• A recap of previous learning
• Clear explanation of key concepts
• Practice exam questions
• Feedback and exam technique guidance

I focus strongly on helping students understand how to answer exam questions effectively, including command words and mark schemes, as this is often where students can improve most quickly.

Lessons are usually 60 minutes long and are designed to be structured, supportive, and confidence-building.
