Expert SATs and 11+ Support from an Experienced Year 6 Teacher

I am an experienced Year 6 teacher with an excellent understanding of the English National Curriculum, Year 6 SATs and 11+ preparation.
For Year 6 SATs, work covers reading comprehension, grammar, punctuation and spelling, arithmetic and mathematical reasoning. Children receive clear explanations, targeted revision, SATs-style questions and guidance on how to approach each paper effectively. I have also worked as a professional examiner, writing and marking SATs papers, which has given me valuable insight into curriculum design, assessment requirements, common misconceptions and what pupils need to demonstrate to achieve their best possible results.
For 11+ preparation, work may include English, maths, verbal reasoning and nonverbal reasoning. Pupils develop their vocabulary, comprehension, problem-solving, accuracy, speed and exam technique through focused practice. I have a strong track record of preparing children for 11+ examinations across the GL and CEM boards.
Completed work is reviewed and constructive feedback is provided, helping children understand their mistakes and identify their next steps. Additional consolidation activities can also be provided to strengthen areas requiring further practice. Parents also receive regular feedback, so they can see how their child is progressing, understand their strengths and remain informed about the areas we are working to develop.
