My lessons are structured, supportive and focused on helping each child build confidence and make clear progress. I specialise in Year 6 SATs and 11+ preparation, using carefully selected activities that develop the key knowledge, skills and exam techniques children need to succeed.
As an experienced Year 6 teacher, I have extensive knowledge of the English National Curriculum, SATs expectations and the areas children commonly find challenging. I also have experience creating SATs-style questions and understand how to prepare children for assessments without making learning feel overwhelming.
Children work through structured activities covering areas such as English, maths, reasoning, comprehension, grammar and exam technique, depending on the support they require. I provide clear feedback, identify gaps in understanding and use progress tracking to help ensure that learning is moving forward.
Parents are kept informed of their child's progress, including strengths, areas for development and what they can focus on next. My approach combines high expectations with encouragement, helping children become more confident, independent learners while working towards their SATs or 11+ goals.
