Maths tutor providing practical teaching to children to induce interests

I have a master's in Mechanical Engineering and have close to 5 years of experience in design and Manufacturing domain. I would like to teach mathematics to children on a practical manner which would be useful and interesting To them rather than just teaching formulas and calculations. Having completed my masters having close to 5 years of experience working, I have understood that any teaching that is done without an example of how it is applied in the reality is a brain drain. I would like to teach students Maths that they would use in day to day life, and moreover why they need to learn such areas.
