Advert description
About me:
I have over five years of experience helping GCSE maths students improve their confidence and results. Rather than just drilling methods, I focus on genuine understanding and exam strategy — the combination that turns effort into marks.
Parents particularly value my bespoke progress-tracking spreadsheet, which maps every GCSE topic, links targeted practice questions, and shows clearly what's secure, what's shaky, and what will move the needle most. It takes the guesswork out of revision, so you always know whether your child is on track.
About my lessons:
Summer is the ideal time to get ahead — before the pressure of Year 11 sets in. Most students don't struggle due to lack of effort; they struggle because gaps go unnoticed, confidence quietly erodes, and bad habits take hold. Addressing these early makes everything that follows easier.
Over the summer, I work with students to:
- Identify and close gaps from the year — whether from changing teachers, moving sets, or simply missing key lessons
- Build genuine confidence by breaking topics into clear steps and using mistakes as feedback, not failure
- Establish strong habits around checking work and avoiding the careless slips that quietly cost marks
- Develop exam technique — including how to handle wordy questions, manage time, and select questions wisely under pressure
By September, students return with a clearer picture of where they stand, stronger foundations, and a concrete plan for the year ahead.
