Experienced Maths Teacher and tutor for over 14 years. I have taught KS3 and KS4 (GCSE 9-1 Higher and Foundation)

I have been a qualified secondary school Maths teacher for the past 14 years. I have acquired substantial experience of working with a significant range of students and abilities. I understand the barriers to learning in Maths and can advise on areas where common misconceptions occur, showing alternative methods to answer popular topics and advise on exam techniques
I now tutor one to one with students in order that I can make a real difference to their confidence and performance in Maths. At times this can be difficult to achieve in a classroom environment. My tutoring style is structured, relaxed and supportive. I will establish early on a student's individual proficiency so that they are educated at an adapted and bespoke level. I believe I can create a good working relationship with students quickly and I give lots of praise to develop motivation.
Over the years I have been KS3/KS4 lead and also second in Maths department. I have invaluable knowledge of the sequence of learning at each key stage and how the Maths curriculum develops as it is taught in schools.
I offer one to one online tuition and also group tuition at a reduced rate for similar ability students. I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate.
