I currently work as a SENCo in a Specialist SEMH school and therefore feel that I am able to tailor lessons for individuals.

I have been a teacher for 28 years, across a variety of settings. I believe that this has allowed me to develop a wealth of experience. I feel that it is really important to get to know individuals and their strengths as well as their difficulties. Once I have gained insight into the level that they are currently working at I will adapt my teaching to consolidate and challenge their understanding. I constantly reflect on my own practice to ensure that I am using the best approach for the individual, ensuring they are able to make the best progress possible. I constantly question them and ensure that they have understood concepts before moving on to develop their understanding.
