I have an adaptive approach tailoring lessons to the needs of the student, i believe in making learning fun as the majority of my education is within learning through play and the importance of positive experiences in education. My lessons will be relevant to your child’s learning as i am able to assist them with homework or subjects they may be struggling with. I liaise with parents to gain a wider understanding of their child’s needs and can support holistic areas of development in addition to their educational needs. I currently work in under the Health Visiting team working to support child development, i have 4 years experience within an early years setting in addition to 3 years experience working as a Teaching assistant. In addition to this i have completed the first year of my teacher training. I am a confident, enthusiastic educator excited to help your child feel comfortable and confident in their knowledge of the curriculum and world around them. My specific areas of expertise are lower key stage one as well as reception however I have worked with older children as well. I am trained in Phonics and would be happy to assist with your child with learning to read and write in addition to the basic curriculum subjects - English, Maths and Science. I am particularly passionate about the English subject and enjoy teaching comprehension and inference sessions.
