Biomedical Sciences student at Bath tutoring GCSE and A-level biology students.

I am a 2nd year Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Bath and I understand that Biology can seem challenging at times during A-levels if you cannot grasp the concepts. My first year modules included - Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Human Physiology and Genetics that just deepened my previous knowledge, so I am comfortable teaching biology from school level through university first year. My main approach would be to understand where the gaps lie in a child's understanding and tailor my teaching methods through that. Some students learn better diagramatically while others benefit from point-wise understanding method. My goal would be to understand the gap, simplify the complex biological topics and teach in a manner that provides more of understanding the concepts rather than blindly learning it. I have helped students in my hometown break down complex topics in Biology and broken the fear that comes with studying a science subject and wish to continue to do the same during my university years.
