Advert description
I design my lessons to be practical, engaging, and fully tailored to each student’s needs. My teaching focuses on helping students genuinely understand maths rather than simply memorising methods or formulas. I explain why a method works, when to apply it, and how to approach unfamiliar questions logically and confidently.
To make learning more relatable, I use real-life examples wherever possible — such as percentages through shopping discounts, ratios through recipes or sports statistics, algebra through patterns and problem solving, and geometry through everyday objects and visual demonstrations. This practical approach helps students build stronger long-term understanding and apply knowledge independently in exams and real situations.
Lessons are interactive, supportive, and designed to build confidence step by step. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, explain their thinking, and work through problems collaboratively. I use a mixture of worked examples, visual explanations, exam-style practice, mini challenges, and guided problem-solving activities to keep sessions engaging and effective.
Every lesson is adapted to the student’s ability level, learning style, pace, strengths, and academic goals. Whether a student is preparing for GCSEs, catching up on missed topics, improving confidence, or aiming for top grades, lessons are personalised to maximise progress and understanding.
Alongside tutoring, I also bring professional analytical and problem-solving experience from finance, risk management, and project delivery, helping me explain concepts in a clear, structured, and relatable way.
