Native Chinese tutor and Computer Science undergraduate at the of Birmingham, with previous experience teaching Chinese in China

I am a native Chinese speaker and currently an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Birmingham. Before coming to the UK, I gained teaching experience in China, where I taught Chinese language and literature. I can teach students of different ages and levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. For beginners, I can introduce Pinyin, tones, basic vocabulary and everyday conversations step by step. For students who already have some Chinese knowledge, I can help improve their speaking, pronunciation, grammar, reading and writing skills. I can also provide support with school Chinese lessons, homework and exam preparation. My teaching style is patient, friendly and interactive. I believe students learn best when they actively use the language rather than simply memorising vocabulary and grammar. I use conversations, real-life situations, examples and structured exercises to make lessons practical and engaging. I will adapt each lesson to the student’s level, interests and goals, helping them become more confident and comfortable using Chinese.
