Hi, I’m Jo, a friendly and approachable newly qualified maths teacher based in Amersham.

I believe that every child can succeed in maths with the right support. Whether your child needs to build confidence, prepare for the 11+, improve their GCSE grades or simply needs a little extra help, I provide personalised lessons tailored to their individual needs and learning style.

As a newly qualified maths teacher, I have recent classroom experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities and have trained in local Buckinghamshire schools, including Grammar Schools. My focus is on helping students understand the why behind the maths, not just memorising methods. I use clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of encouragement to help students develop confidence as well as improve their results.
