I am a student studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bath, currently working at a first class honours level. Having achieved both an A* and grade 9 in A level and GCSE mathematics respectively, I have previously taught the subject to year 8 and year 6 classes as a free time volunteer. Through this, I feel that I have developed a strong teaching style of breaking down larger problems into visualisable steps that students can understand with confidence.



I aim to deliver a personalised one-on-one online lesson per week for a student. Each lesson will be tailored to the individual needs of each student, and I will begin by identifying points of weakness in both method and understanding before helping to develop a more structured method to improve both technique and understanding. Instead of focusing primarily on memorising methods, I want to ensure that each student can understand underlying concepts, so that they can tackle any problem they face at school or in the exams!



For A level, I am well versed in the OCR MEI B syllabus. Meanwhile for GCSE, I have previously studied the Edexcel course. However, as a strong mathematician, I will be extremely confident in working with students from any exam board.



For each online lesson, I would like to use Zoom as a platform - and I will be sharing my iPad screen. I will use an apple pencil to produce real notes and exam solutions in real time, and I will send each PDF to the student after the session. The screen sharing will also be used to convey any exercise or exam questions.



I am extremely warm and friendly, and I would love to work with any student, from primary and secondary education, all the way up to A levels!
