Gospel Piano Tutor | Chords, Playing by Ear & Skills for Any Genre

Hey! I’ve been playing piano since 2012, with most of my experience coming from gospel, worship and contemporary Christian music.

My main focus is gospel piano, but I also want to give you the tools to understand music properly so you can eventually play across different genres with confidence.

We can work on gospel chords, chord progressions, rhythm, playing by ear, ear training, accompanying singers, passing chords, playing in different keys and understanding songs using the Nashville Number System.

Rather than just memorising songs, I want to help you understand why certain chords work, how progressions move and how you can take those same ideas into different songs and styles.

If you’re a complete beginner, we can start with the basics and build your confidence step by step. If you already know some chords, we can work on making your playing sound fuller, improving your rhythm, learning new movements and becoming more comfortable playing by ear.

Gospel will be the foundation of what I teach, but the skills you develop : chord knowledge, rhythm, ear training, numbers and musical understanding - can also help you with worship, R&B, soul, pop, CCM and other styles.

My lessons are practical and relaxed. I’ll break things down clearly, show you what I’m doing on the piano and give you time to work through it yourself.

My goal is to help you become a confident, independent musician who understands the piano instead of just memorising where to put your fingers.
