Hello! I’m Mary. I am currently a Biomedical Sciences undergraduate at King’s College London, offering personalised IGCSE tutoring in London.

In terms of my academic background, I studied in Nord Anglia International school Hong Kong, Harrow International Hong Kong, and Cardiff Sixth Form. I achieved Grade 9 in IGCSE Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language, Grade 8 in Biology, Physics and English Literature, and Grade A in Cambridge IGCSE Chinese as a Second Language. As a native Mandarin Chinese speaker who is fluent in English, I can communicate clearly with students from various educational backgrounds.

With months of freelance tutoring experience with students of different age, I understand how adapting lessons to student’s individual needs is extremely significant. My teaching approach focuses on creating a strong understanding foundation of concepts by practising exam-style questions, introducing them techniques I have gained through my personal experience, developing revision techniques and habits so that they are prepared for exams.

My teaching approach is structured and tailored to the needs of the students. I aim to create an engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop their own thought process when tackling challenging topics and learning from their mistakes by forming a habit to review them.
