Patricia Meléndez Santiago

As a native Spanish speaker and UWE Bristol Secondary MFL PGCE student, I blend real-world communication with the latest UK teaching methods to make online learning effective and fun. My journey—from teaching with the Peace Corps in Colombia to designing virtual curriculums—taught me that language is about building confidence, not just memorising textbook rules.

Using evidence-based techniques like retrieval practice and visual scaffolding, I break down tricky grammar without the overwhelm. Whether mastering GCSE exam techniques or exploring authentic culture, I create a patient, low-stress environment where secondary students can shake off the fear of making mistakes and thrive!
