I use my own textbooks and questions from my workbooks. Each lesson will consist of a review of the previous and a new topic the pupil would like to focus on. My goal is to ensure they feel confident in the topics they had once felt weak in. I also use online flashcards on Gizmo that I am able to share with pupils for them to use in their spare time.
For science, I explain topics to pupils and I ask them to blurt down everything they understood. This enables me to identify weak gaps in their knowledge. I also use powerpoints aimed at Year 5-6 Pupils which also have excellent explanations on key concepts and to give them a boost for their upcoming secondary education.
Maths is mainly based on questions and explaining methods and using interactive ways to count such as numeracy cards or an Abacus. I also use a whiteboard to draw visual representations.

Pupils are welcome to contribute their own ideas as to how they prefer to learn. This makes sure that they have a swift learning experience and feel comfortable in their lessons.
