Hi,
I've been a teacher for 7 years now in Sri Lanka. I have been responsible for making huge transformations where learners grew from writing essays with no demarcation and punctuation at all to developing writing skills that possess excellent descriptive writing skills and story lines that impress and enthrall.

My lessons cover the Key stage 3 or GCSE syllabus. I work on developing higher order thinking skills to and train my students to gain the ability to demonstrate perception at a fast pace. It's always great seeing students find their own conclusions to plot lines, character developments and contrasts. I teach students to develop their own authentic ideas and help frame answers and essays to correctly portray what they intend to communicate.

I work a lot on the fundamentals. I believe in there being a process to achieving anything. I usually use my time to find a process that suits each individual I teach.

I use information about a learner's type of intelligence and learning style to adjust my lesson to suit my learner.

I am passionate and simply love making connections with my learners. I treat students with respect and make no judgement. I am open and encourage openess. Students usually feel at ease with me and I believe this is very important when teaching young adults.

I am looking forward to meeting students whom I can help rise to the potential one yearns for.
