A TEFL Certified EFL/ESL Tutor, and a highly skilled Finance Professional with more than 15 years work experience in the International Development/Charitable sector.
I've been living and working Internationally for the past 15+ years (including in South Africa, Mozambique, Indonesia, the UK, and Tunisia).
My First Language is English. I’m fluent in Afrikaans, have intermediate level skills in French, and I’m at beginner level in Arabic (MSA).
In 2007, I completed the TEFL certification at the Cape Town School of English. In 2020, to refresh my knowledge and enhance my techniques, I completed the ITA Online TEFL Certification Course (International TEFL Academy). In 2022, I gained the Teaching Business English Certificate (International TEFL Academy).
I've taught more than 500 lesson hours to students at all levels. My students come from diverse backgrounds and age groups, and are located in various parts of the world, including Canada, France, Tunisia, Senegal, Taiwan, and Belgium.
My lessons are student-centred, engaging, and flexible!
Lessons are continuously adapted to suit the individual - every lesson is structured based on the needs of the student.
A student needs assessment is carried out at the start of your course, and lessons are adapted based on your progress throughout the duration of your course.
Specific learning needs identified may include:
* Refining your pronunciation
* Practicing everyday language and conversational skills
* Exam preparation, focusing on specific grammar and/or vocabulary
* Reading comprehension and practice
