Yan Wing Chan

I am a Maths tutor with over 4,500 hours of tutoring experience. I believe Mathematics is a fascinating subject. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding by identifying foundational weaknesses and helping students become confident, independent problem-solvers.

I have guided many struggling students to achieve significant grade improvements, and I also have experience covering Maths lessons in a local primary school. Previously, as a Maths instructor at Eye Level Education Centre in Hong Kong, I taught for nearly four years, primarily to international primary and secondary students in English.

I explain mathematical concepts by relating them to students' daily lives and prior knowledge, making learning more meaningful and accessible. My lessons are interactive, allowing me to assess students’ understanding in real time and observe how they approach problem-solving.

After each lesson, I provide a clear recap and optional follow-up exercises to reinforce learning and support consistent progress between sessions.
