My lessons are structured, calm, and supportive, designed for students who feel stuck or discouraged in maths.
I understand what it feels like to struggle and not get the results you expect. I have been there myself, so I teach with patience and without judgement. The focus is always to rebuild confidence first, then develop understanding step by step.
I explain topics in simple language and connect them to real life—for example, using money and shopping for percentages, sharing and fairness for ratios, and everyday patterns for algebra. We work through examples together, then I support you as you try similar questions independently until it starts to make sense.
I use scaffolded chunking to break complex topics into small, manageable steps. For example, I supported a student who struggled with trigonometry and felt overwhelmed by exam questions. I started with basic angle rules and right-angled triangles, then gradually built up to sine, cosine, and tangent. I used clear diagrams and real-life contexts such as heights and distances to make it more visual and relatable. With guided practice at each stage, the student moved from confusion to confidently solving exam questions independently.
I have experience teaching secondary, GCSE, and A-Level students across a range of abilities, from those who are struggling to those aiming for higher grades. I support learners at different stages of their maths journey, helping them close knowledge gaps, strengthen core foundations, and build exam confidence.
If you are struggling, you are not the problem. With the right support and approach, maths becomes something you can understand and succeed in.
