I focus on two fields: Languages and Music.

Languages!
English is my native language, but I moved to the Netherlands as a child where I picked up not only Dutch but a number of other languages including French, German and Polish. I hold government diplomas in Dutch and French (from CNaVT and DÉLF respectively) and have experience tutoring English both as a foreign language and a native one (e.g. for language and literature GCSEs). I am also currently at the University of Manchester for a BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Anthropology. My language tutoring style is very tailored to the student, I tend to prefer a more dynamic learning environment to a textbook.

Music!
I have studied music theory alongside playing the flute for more than ten years, I've played in numerous orchestras and ensembles in the Netherlands and since moving to Manchester have already joined two more! I also worked in a paid capacity as a music arranger for a time, adapting various pieces for flute ensemble, jazz band and orchestra. Thereby, I have a very comprehensive and detailed knowledge not only of music theory in the abstract, but also its practical application, both of which I teach in tandem.
