People struggling to apply music theory to composition can count on me to explain things so they finally make sense!

I have both an AS and A-Level at grade A in Music, as well as over ten years of instrumental experience. I've played in numerous orchestras and ensembles in the Netherlands, and have also worked in a paid capacity as a music arranger.

I first picked up a flute more than ten years ago and as soon as I did, I fell in love. Since then, music has been a constant source of happiness and passion for me. Several years’ experience in teaching both music and other subject areas to young students has perhaps taught me more than I’ve had the pleasure of teaching them. I bring a certain flair with me - students have often called me the ‘fun teacher’ - but patience, dedication, openness and efficiency are at the core of my work ethic and my approach to teaching.
