Vijay Lakshmi

I am a QTS-qualified Biology and Science tutor with over ten years of teaching experience and a strong academic background in Medical Microbiology and Botany. My lessons are designed to be supportive, interactive, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style and academic goals. I believe every student can succeed in science when concepts are explained clearly and connected to real-life examples.

My lessons usually begin with a short discussion to understand the student’s current knowledge and areas where they need support. I then use simple explanations, diagrams, visual presentations, and practice questions to help students understand difficult topics confidently. I encourage students to ask questions freely and create a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable learning at their own pace.

I teach Biology, Environmental Science, and general Science for primary, secondary, and GCSE-level students. I also support exam preparation, homework assistance, revision planning, and confidence-building for students who may struggle with science subjects.

With my experience as both a classroom teacher and teaching assistant in the UK, I understand how to adapt lessons for different abilities and learning needs. My background in laboratory research, including PCR and microbiology techniques, also allows me to bring practical scientific understanding into lessons, making learning more engaging and meaningful.

My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop curiosity, confidence, and independent learning skills that will benefit them throughout their education.
