My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, ability and learning style. I usually begin by identifying what the student already understands and where they may need additional support, before working through new concepts step-by-step. I use questions and regular knowledge checks throughout the lesson to make sure the student is confident with each topic before moving on. I also use presentations and diagrams to help explain concepts clearly and make the content easier to understand.

For GCSE students, I like to combine teaching the core Biology content with exam practice, including working through past-paper questions and developing effective exam technique. I encourage students to explain their reasoning and ask questions, creating an interactive and supportive environment where they can build both their knowledge and confidence.

I have experience tutoring Year 8 and 9 students as well as GCSE students in Maths and Science, and I aim to make Biology engaging, approachable and easier to understand.
