My teaching would go as following;
In a fun, dynamic and entertaining way, I would ask my student to talk about their day for 2 minutes, in french, to allow them to speak in a casual way, almost as if talking to a friend.
The most important thing about the french language is the accent, pronunciation, and slangs, throughout the past couple of years, the French language evolved in a very quick way, and foreigners learning french are having trouble keeping up with the latest ways of speaking french.
In France, being understood by speaking in a modern way i very important, even for young kids learning. Keeping in mind the age of my students, and adapting to their age, mindset, and hobbies will be very important for our lessons.
Learning how to pronounce, the vocabulary, the accent and slangs will be my main focus, with of course what's asked of me and our lessons.
Listening, and being interested in French culture is an important way of keeping up with learning french, so listening to french music, french radio or movies will be mandatory to help my students improve.
Adapted to their age, i will recommend certain pieces of media for my students, being completely surrounded by French language helps the student feel included in the Language they're learning. Every lesson i will ask about if they listened to the piece of media i recommend, and if they enjoyed it, yes, or no!!
