My lessons are structured but flexible, and always tailored to the individual needs of the student. At the beginning of our first session, I take time to understand what the student is trying to achieve, where they currently feel confident, and where they may need more support. This helps me design lessons that are relevant and genuinely useful for them.
Each lesson typically combines explanation, discussion, and practical application. For example, if we are working on assignments or business-related topics, we will break down the task step by step, review key concepts, and apply them directly to the student’s work so they can see how the theory connects to real outcomes.
I encourage students to ask questions and actively engage during lessons, as I believe learning works best when students feel comfortable and supported. My experience supporting students in educational environments, including working as an EPQ Supervisor, has taught me how important it is to adapt my teaching style to different learners.
I also focus on helping students develop practical skills such as organising their ideas, structuring assignments clearly, improving research techniques, and preparing for university or career progression. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to develop their own thinking and approach challenges with confidence.
Ultimately, my goal is to help students not only complete their work successfully but also build the confidence and skills to approach future challenges independently and continue developing their academic and professional potential.
