I'm a Year 13 student at a selective grammar school, studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics at A-Level, and I tutor GCSE and iGCSE Physics online.
Having sat my GCSEs recently, I know exactly which topics cause problems, what presentation examiners are looking for, and where students lose marks on questions they understand entirely. Being closer in age also means students tend to tell me when they're lost, rather than nodding along.
I hold a British Physics Olympiad Silver award and multiple UKMT Junior, Intermediate and Senior certificates, have reached the second round of the Oxford University Computing Challenge multiple times, and achieved Grade 9 in all three sciences as well as a Grade 9 in Maths.
My sessions will run over Google Meet with a shared digital whiteboard, so you see every step of my working in real time. You can write on the same page yourself, which means I can see how you're approaching a problem rather than just the final answer. I keep notes on what we cover and what to focus on next, so lessons build on each other rather than starting from scratch each week.
I hold an Enhanced DBS check and offer 30-minute and 60-minute sessions. I also offer a free 30-minute introductory call: we'll talk through what you need, then work through an example problem together, so you get a feel for how sessions actually run before committing to anything. For this initial meeting, a parent or responsible adult will need to be present.
