My lessons are structured and exam-focused. We work through past papers together, break down key principles, and apply them to real-life scientific scenarios. I draw on my laboratory experience to make concepts practical, relatable, and easier to understand, helping students build confidence and exam technique.
Each lesson follows a clear format. I begin by identifying areas of weakness or upcoming topics from the student’s syllabus, then explain the underlying theory in a simple, logical way. We actively apply this knowledge by answering exam-style and past paper questions, focusing on how marks are awarded and how to structure clear, accurate responses. I place strong emphasis on scientific terminology, command words, and common exam pitfalls.
Lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based. I regularly check understanding through questioning, encourage students to explain concepts in their own words, and adapt my teaching pace to suit individual learning styles. I also use real-life laboratory and clinical examples to reinforce abstract ideas and show how science applies beyond the classroom.
Over time, I help students develop effective revision strategies, improve time management in exams, and build confidence in tackling unfamiliar questions. My aim is not only to improve grades, but to help students feel comfortable with the subject, think scientifically, and approach exams with clarity and confidence.
Lessons are to be carried out either on Zoom or Microsoft Teams, so please ensure you have an account, stable internet connection, and a suitable quiet learning environment. I am looking forward to teaching you and contributing to your academic journey.
