About me

I always start my lessons off with a smile! At the beginning of my lessons, I usually set a recall/reflective exercise for the students. I use praise wherever possible as I feel it's important to acknowledge when my students are completing good work/answering questions correctly.

I use praise wherever possible as I feel it's important to acknowledge when my students are completing good work/answering questions correctly.

I typically use PowerPoint presentations/Educational videos to aid the delivery of my lesson content. My students are always encouraged to make notes, and I always highlight the most important parts. When teaching, I really enjoy being involved. I frequently use tools which allow me to annotate texts alongside my students and I also encourage a helpful and focused classroom dialogue. I am always interested in hearing my student's thoughts and opinions on the lesson content. I also take their feedback into consideration when planning for future lessons to ensure they are learning in a way that suits them best. During my lessons, I allow a lot of time for student practice in order for them to consolidate the new knowledge. This also provides me with the opportunity to track my student's individual progress, highlight any misconceptions and re-teach if necessary.

All in all, I am very friendly and approachable. I am really looking forward to meeting my prospective students and helping them to realise their full potential.
