I use a combination of online platforms (Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, etc) depending on what the student has available.

I augment lessons with presentations created on Slides or Power Point, as well as videos and interactive tools such as Google Forms.

Students are assigned reading and writing assignments to complete independently and if applicable, in groups.

Lessons are strategically designed based on a Brain-Targeted model that implements Cognitive Load Theory and High Quality Teaching methods:

- Writing and discussion prompts related to the lesson
- Sharing the student's response
- Delivering the lesson while modeling
- Asking students for questions and input
- Having students complete an exit ticket
- Quizzes and journal entries are part of weekly lessons to ensure material has been learned (weak areas are then addressed based on teacher analysis of results)

Questions are welcome and encouraged. Student input is important so that unclear topics can be clarified.

Lessons and material can be tailored to meet the needs of the students.
