English Durham University student|GCSE and A-level English Literature|GCSE English Language

I am currently working towards my BA in English Literature at Durham University and have experience in tutoring as well as helping younger pupils through my volunteer work. Having recently completed my A-levels, achieving an A in English Literature and previously attaining 9s (A**) in both English Language and Literature during my GCSEs, I understand the pressure that pupils are under in such exams and how much a tutor can help them to reach their goals.

My approach to tutoring is to identify and subsequently focus on the pupil's areas for improvement as well as to foster confidence and enagagement by recognising their progress and areas of strength. I accomplish this through regular testing such as through exam questions and short quizes. After each lesson, I will send a progress report of the pupil if they so wish.
