I hold a first-class Master’s degree in Chemistry and have completed a year of PGCE study. I offer secondary and GCSE Maths tuition, either online via Zoom or in person in the Leeds area, and aim to create a calm, friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Whether maths feels challenging or you’re aiming to improve your grades, I focus on helping students build confidence, understanding, and belief in their own ability.

I have tutored several students in small groups and on a one-to-one basis and have experience working with students of varying abilities, including those who have found maths difficult or lacked confidence. I have also worked with pupils with a range of learning needs, adapting lessons to suit each individual.

I encourage students to share what they feel they need to focus on, helping them feel more confident and in control of their learning. I break topics down into manageable steps and explain ideas in a clear, straightforward way, adapting my teaching to suit how each student learns best. Students are encouraged to ask questions, take their time, and build confidence gradually.

My goal is for every student to leave a lesson feeling more confident, capable, and motivated than when they arrived. Whether maths currently feels challenging or a student is aiming for higher grades, I can help them develop the skills and understanding they need to succeed.
